Laguna House is a simple 1500 SF L-Shape house that keeps with traditional form, with discreet separation of public and private program. Several roofing options were explored from Shed to Butterfly; flat with Parapet was selected in the end to further reflect the Pueblo vernacular.

Materials and methods of the project are simple, direct, natural, and durable – exposed colored concrete, plaster, sheet rock, stucco, and cold roll / rusted metal. The structure itself is composed of lab tested compressed earthen block taken directly from the abundant top soil of the reservation lands.
