Santo Domingo Trading Post

Santo Domingo Pueblo, Domingo, NM
Phase 1 : 2011 – Phase 2 : 2014

AIA Santa Fe Chapter
2013 Honorable Mention Award

Project Overview

In 2011 Spears Horn Architects began the process of rebuilding the historic Trading Post in the village of Domingo near the Railrunner Kewa Station. The 1920’s, 4,427 square foot, adobe building suffered from a fire in 2001 that destroyed the roof and all interior work, which included a retail space with wrap around balcony for arts and crafts, and supply goods.

Project Gallery

The new program includes similar retail space, plus a small cafe for locals, travelers, and tourists. The project is funded by the US Economic Development Administration in order to stimulate the development in Domingo Village.
